Malcolm Cumberlidge has over 30 years’ experience in the field of road collision investigation and reconstruction. Malcolm served for 27 years in the Metropolitan Police Traffic Division.
He has extensive experience as an expert witness, providing testimony to criminal, coronial and civil courts.
Malcolm has lectured to Police, emergency services, colleges and other agencies in the science and methodology of forensic collision investigation.
During his Police Service Malcolm was Senior Collision Analyst and Senior Investigating Officer, with supervisory responsibility for overseeing the work of forensic collision investigators and for the management and direction of major investigations.
Malcolm now works as an independent consultant in Forensic Collision and Incident Investigation to the Industry, Legal Profession, Civil Councils and Highways Agencies.
He has been trained and qualified in Forensic Collision Reconstruction, Forensic Vehicle Examination, Vehicle Damage and Crush Analysis, Collision Dynamics, Tyre Defect Analysis, Black Box Data Interpretation Analysis, Recorded Vehicle Crash Data Interpretation and Analysis, Field Surveying, Photography, Driver and Pedestrian Perception, Investigative Interviewing Techniques, Incident Scene Management, Traffic Control and Workplace Health and Safety.
Malcolm has over 25 year’s Police Driving Experience as an Advanced Driver and Motorcyclist; with training and experience in high-speed pursuits.
Malcolm Cumberlidge is a member of professional bodies relating to Collision Investigation and Reconstruction including the UK Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators and the Australia Pacific Branch of the Association of Collision Investigators.
